Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state have ceded the ticket of Kano North Senatorial District to Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Daily Trust reliably gathered.
This, it was gathered, was parts of the conclusions reached at the stakeholders meeting held in the wee hours of Sunday at Kano State Government House.

The governor, who will be concluding his second term in May next year, is from Dawakin Tofa local government, one of the local government areas that make up Kano North senatorial district.
Sources at the stakeholders meeting told Daily Trust that it was agreed that the governor will pick the senatorial ticket of the party unopposed.
The seat is currently occupied by Senator Barau Jibrin, a member of the G-7 faction and a front runner for the governorship of the state.
