Just few weeks to the 2023 Presidential elections, the wife of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor (Mrs) Florence Umana, has stated that Akwa Ibom state stands to benefit enormously from the inevitable victory of the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
According to Mrs. Umana, as a progressive State keen on industrialization with an expanding private sector economy, it needs an experienced entrepreneur and talented business administrator like Tinubu who would support its development plans.
She stated this during an interactive session with members of the Niger Delta Youth for Tinubu and Shettima, urging Niger Delta Youths, Women and other party members to work together and ensure victory for Tinubu.

She used the interactive session, which she said was at the instance of her husband, Mr. Umana Okon Umana, to specifically appealed to youths be at the forefront of campaigning for the success of the presidential candidate, whom she said has enormous plans to batter their lives and create conducive atmosphere for actualization of their dreams.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is well known for his commitment, his track record, building of sustainable institutions to improve the economy which stands unsurpassed in Lagos till date.
“He has the capacity to lead APC to success and to accelrwted the economy of Nigeria to greater heights”, she said.
Pastor (Mrs.) Florence Umana charged youth and women to be sincere in their support for Tinubu/Shettima and advised all the inaugurated Units, Wards and Chapter Coordinators to go back home and mobilize grassroots support for the Tinubu project.
She assured them that as the National Coordinator of the group, no member would be left behind as everyone will be rewarded according to their efforts in the project.
While thanking her husband for always ensuring women inclusion in governance, she urged the women and youth to hold onto God in all their endeavors with utmost sincerity.
Earlier in his address, Hon Mfon Awah, a former Secretary of Itu Local Government Area and the Akwa Ibom State Chairman of Niger Delta Youth for Tinubu and Shettima, vowed that they will deliver victory to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election through mass mobilization of the electorates at the grassroots.
The Youth leader said that already, youth leaders and chapter coordinators from the different Local Government Areas of the State are currently penetrating the grassroots to preach the gospel of Tinubu/Shetima to the people.
Hon Awah said their efforts was in line with the position of the Southern Governors Forum’s resolved that the Presidency should rotate to the Southern region after President Buhari’s tenure, which was patriotically corroborated by the Northern Governors of the APC.
He hinged their support for Tinubu on the constant support and magnanimity the youth leaders have enjoyed over the years from the Hon Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Umana Okon Umana, and wife, Mrs Florence Umana.
In their goodwill messages, Barr. Imoh Akpan (Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District); Mr. Rowland Inwang (Eket Senatorial District); and Mr. Henry Akpabio (Uyo Senatorial District), pledged to mobilize the grassroot votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Youth leaders stressed that looking at the antecedents of Tinubu, he’s a youth mobilizer, just like their principal and benefactor, Mr. Umana Okon Umana. They said Tinubu is someone that loves to work with the youth. So the youth have no choice than to rally around Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
There were also goodwill messages from Dr. Emem Wills, Akwa Ibom State Representative in the upcoming NDDC Board ; Hon Daniel Bassey (Spinner), BOT Chairman of the group in the State; Mrs. Rosemary Harry, immediate past APC State Working Committee member; Mrs. Elizabeth Ifon, a foremost state woman leader.
