The National Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has earmarked N1.3bn for salaries, training and other items in the 2022 budget proposal.
The agency budgeted N115.929bn to be spent in 2022. Out of this, capital expenditure is N114.644bn; while the balance of N1.3bn is for personnel and overhead cost.

Among its budgetary items, the agency earmarked N950.069m for salaries, N67.708m for local travel and transport (training) and another N13.399m for “local travel & transport: others”
It will also spend another N13.749m on local training.
It also budgeted N142.510m for allowances and social contribution comprising N95m for pension and N47.503m for National Health Insurance Scheme.
The cost of miscellaneous items at the agency is N33.439m; some of the items under this budget section include N4.109m for refreshment & meals, N5.440m for honorarium & sitting allowance, N4m for publicity & advertisements, N340,968 for postages & courier services.
