2022 Masari Unity Cup quarter-finals start today in Daura

The 2022 edition of Governor Aminu Bello Masari Unity Cup for youth football clubs in the Daura Senatorial Zone has reached the quarter-final stage, which will begin today at the Daura Township stadium.

At the conclusion of the round of 16 matches, eight clubs namely, Kankia United, New Generation Ingawa, FC Hadi Sirika, FC Porto Zango, Arewa United, Eagle Star Mai-Adua, Haro Academy and FC Ashafa Zango qualified for the quarter-finals.

New NFF board to hold inaugural meeting today

In the fixtures released to Daily Trust by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Alhaji Sani Abu Daura, the first quarter final match will be played today between FC Hadi Sirika and Arewa United, Kankia.

On Wednesday, October 12, Kankia United will take to the battlefield against FC Ashafa, FC Porto will square up with Musa Haro Academy on Thursday, October 13 while the last  quarter-final match between New Generation Ingawa and Eagle Star Mai-Adua will take the centre stage on Friday, October 14.

According to the organisers, the winner between Hadi Sirika and Arewa United will slug it out with the winner of the second quarter-final match between Kankia United and FC Ashafa Zango in the first semi-finals to be played on Sunday, October 30.

And the second semi-final will be played on Monday, November 1 between the winners of the third and fourth quarter-final matches.

Meanwhile, the grand finale has been slated for Saturday, November 5 at the refurbished Daura Township stadium.

Daura who doubles as the LOC chairman for President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) Cup also disclosed that quarter-final matches of the tournament will begin on Monday, October 17 with the potentially explosive tie between Serie A Kankia and FC Nasara Zango.
