The just concluded 2022 Jos international polo tournament was an unforgettable epoch that changed polo folklore, crowning three brand new champions in the high-goal, medium, intermediate, and Low-goal categories of the glamorous king of games grand slam.
Revered for its robust competition, the prestigious polo fiesta that galloped off with over 30 teams jostling for four major cups and a handful of subsidiary prizes saw the home teams, four times defending champions, Malcomines and Babale Farm sweeping two of the biggest laurels.
The final match decided before a full house at the late Gen. Usman Katsina Polo Ground was a thrilling encounter which saw Malcomines defeat Keffi Pony 9-3 goals to clinched their fifth back-to-back Governors Cup winners and overall champions.
