The 2021 edition of Ramat Cup, an annual youth football tournament organised by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) will hold in the ancient city of Kano from February 5-13.
YSFON’s president and Deputy Governor of Kano State, Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna said the tournament which is in honour of late former Head of State, General Murtala Ramat Mohammed will be attended by teams from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

He disclosed that the football completion which is to be bankrolled by the Kano State government will feature 4*4 relay event on the final day.
The YSFON president said already the organising committee has put in place all necessary arrangements to ensure a hitch-free tournament.
While charging the players and officials to obey all the laid down rules, he assured that the event will hold in line with all the protocols of COVID-19.
Gawuna, therefore, applauded the Kano State government for its support to the federation all these years just as he appealed to residents in the state to continue to support the tournament which is in honour of their late son.
