The Kaduna state All Progressives Congress (APC) Solidarity Forum has accused the Senator Representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani of using the National Chairman’s name to achieve political relevance.

The group in a statement signed by its chairman, Hafiz Ali Kujama made available to Daily Trust yesterday in Kadun warned the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to be wary of the antics of the Senator.

However, in a reaction, the senator in a statement through his Special Adviser, Comrade Sulieman Ahmed described the statement as false and defamatory pointers aimed at rubbishing the image of the senator.

The forum further lamented that Senator Sani “has been dropping the name of the National Chairman here and there, especially in Kaduna, to achieve political relevance”.

The group said it was “deeply disturbed by the rate at which Senator Sani has been openly bragging that he has the mandate of the National Chairman to recommend names for replacement of Kaduna State APC Exco” describing the action as “belittling the office of the National Chairman”.

Speaking further, The group warned that “The Kaduna Central Senator should desist from seeking cheap relevance through namedropping of Oshiomhole’s name and ” bear in mind that the National Chairman is beyond that nonsense. The senator should accept the reality that he has schemed himself out and he should allow

Sulieman however added, “The statement carries outright falsehoods and defamatory pointers aimed at rubbishing the image of the senator and asking him to respond to them.

“It is clear to the distinguished senator and to all discerning minds, that the authors of such letters don’t have the courage to append their real names and disclose their proper address and rather depend on the media to fight their battles while they hide behind the journalists.”

He noted that the Senator is always available to respond to any statement by persons and not Ghosts saying, “It is our humble opinion that statements from non existent groups and cowards who hide behind their fingers should not be graciously given space in the media to spray fake news and defame.”
