A group from the North West geo-political zone under the banner of Alummah Nakowa Cooperation Association has called on the former minister of special duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, to contest the 2019 presidency.

The group, during a public rally in Birnin Kebbi to mobilize support for Turaki, said he should consider the popular calls from different parts of the country for him to offer himself for the number one seat in the country in 2019.

Speaking to our correspondent, the chairman of the group, Comrade Rufa’i Ahmad, said there had been calls on him from the stakeholders from North West zone, asking the former minister to consider the need to vie for the nation’s presidency.
