The pioneer National Chairman of the Re-Build Nigeria Party, Mr. Canice Okorie, has vowed that his party would wrestle power from President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 general elections.
Okorie, who stated this in Abuja on Thursday while briefing newsmen, also warned hijackers and money bags bent on imposing candidates on the people to steer clear of the new political party.
He said Nigerians have endured unexplained hardship under the Buhari-led government, saying RBNP remains the best alternative with good direction.
“As the 2019 general elections approaches, we pledge to wrestle power from the APC. We will also do everything possible to say goodbye to imposition of candidates and exchange offices for money.
“This party will not collect money to give anybody political office. We believe in competence,” Okorie pledged.
He, however, promised that Nigerians, who are committed to the development of the country, would be encouraged and supported to fly the party’s flag in 2019.
