Ebonyi state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Nwachukwu Eze, has said President Muhammadu Buhari remains the only presidential choice of Ebonyi people in the 2019 general elections.
Hon. Eze disclosed this on Friday while responding to enquiry from our correspondent on why there was no presidential primaries in the party’s state chapter.
Our correspondent who toured some of the APC wards visited in Ebonyi state said there were no voting activities in the areas.
But, the state APC Chairman, claimed that there was voting, saying the exercise was peaceful.
“I must tell you that the exercise is very peaceful; there is no security challenge anywhere in the wards,” he said.
However, our correspondent who was at the party’s headquarters along Abakaliki-Afikpo highway observed that some governorship aspirants were in a meeting with stakeholders of the state so as to harmonise ahead of Sunday’s guber primaries.
