The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched Atikulating Grassroots Movement (AGM) led by National President, Angela Zanye, as one of the campaign groups for its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 general elections.
Speaking at the inauguration of the group in Abuja on Monday, the PDP Zonal Youth Leader for the North Central, Aruwa Ismaila, asked the group to align with PDP structures at all levels of operations.
He said it was incumbent on the group to campaign and mobilise eligible Nigerians who have Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) to vote the PDP.
He said Nigerians should not express fears that President Muhammadu Buhari will not leave office if defeated by the PDP, adding that the precedence has been set by former President Goodluck Jonathan and Buhari’s case cannot be different.
“President Muhammadu Buhari came to power unprepared; so he has not been able to deliver good governance. So, he must go if he is defeated by our party in 2019. Next year’s general election will be a defining moment for Nigeria,” he said.
