A former PDP National Deputy Chairman, Sen. Babayo Gamawa, has been appointed to head Gov. Mohammed Abubakar’s campaign council for re-election.
Sen. Gamawa defected to the rulingý APC a few days ago alongside a member of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), Alhaji Kaulaha Aliyu.
Gov. Abubakar inaugurated the over 80-member campaign council on Thursday night.
The campaign council is saddled with the ýresponsibility of mobilising the state electorate for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Abubakar, as well as election of all APC candidates in the general elections.
Gov. Abubakar charged the council to get in touch with all relevant stakeholders, including people at the grassroots, to vote for the party at all levels in the state.
