The 2019 election is a battle that will be fought spiritually and not physically, Hon Jones Onyereri, a member of the House of Representatives representing Nkwerre/Isu/Njaba/Nwangele Federal constituency has said.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Imo West senatorial zone, in Imo State likened the contest as that between the biblical David and Goliath.
He said that it will be a big surprise how the PDP will beat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forth coming election.
Speaking to our correspondent in Owerri, Onyereri said that he was neither afraid of Governor Rochas Okorocha, who is the APC senatorial candidate nor any other candidate because he was confident he will win the election.
Onyereri said: “You read about the account of David and Goliath in the Bible. That is how the election will be conveyed. It is will more of spiritual rather than physical contest. So I am not worried because I know that God is in control.”
