The Cross River state House of Assembly has approved N16billion for the state governor, Ben Ayade, to spend on entertainment, assistance and contingency, as contained in the state’s 2019 budget.
The breakdown shows that hospitality and entertainment will gulp N6billion, financial assistance N6billion while the governor is expected to spend N4billion on contingency.
This follows their recent consideration of the state government’s N1.3 trillion 2019 budget tagged “Budget of Quabalistic Densification” which was announced last year by the governor.
The sum of N7billion was also allocated for security; same amount was allocated in 2018.
The assembly has passed the budget into law, Daily Trust reports.
