Bauchi State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has disclosed that it will adopt indirect primaries to select candidates for the 2019 general elections.
The state party chairman, Alhaji Uba Ahmed Nana disclosed after the party’s executive council meeting held at Zaranda Hotel in Bauchi on Wednesday.
He said the party adopted indirect primaries after deliberations.
“We met with members of the State Executive Committee (SEC) and membership of the committee was defined by the party’s constitution. These are the people we met with and we deliberated and resolved that the mode of primaries will be an indirect one. This is the position of Bauchi State chapter of the APC,” he said.
Nana further disclosed that, sales of forms for aspirants seeking to contest for the state house of assembly seats has commenced.
