The Sule Lamido Youth Mobilization of Nigeria (SLYMN) has disclosed that about 10, 000 out of its one million members have signed to endorse the former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido to be presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming 2019 election.
The group made the disclosure through its National Coordinator, Abdulhadi Abdullahi Sani (Cokali) during its National Inauguration and Presentation of Magazine at Jerrotel Hotel in Jos on Wednesday.
Alhaji Sani said that the group that was established over one year and five months ago have over one million members across the 32 states of Nigeria.
"So far we were able to gather 10, 000 signatures of our members that have endorsed Lamido to be the presidential candidate of PDP for the forthcoming 2019 election," he said.
He added that the group’s target was to get more than 1 million signatures in order to take it to the National Secretariat of the PDP and try to convince the delegates of the party to vote for Lamido as their candidate for the 2019 presidential election.
