2015: Isn’t Jonathan good to go?

I have also followed the recent campaigns by the president and the PDP, and have come to the conclusion that for things to work well, Jonathan should remain president beyond 2015.
This is because since the inception of his presidency on May 6, 2010, the country has witnessed an unprecedented increase in violence and loss of human life and property. There have been series of bomb blasts in various parts of the country. In fact, I don’t think we have witnessed such a high degree of death rate in any dispensation or government, but this. So when Jonathan remains president, he will ensure that there is security of live and property, people will not die unnecessary deaths again.
Secondly when Jonathan continues in office, he will stick to his words. It is quite understandable that being human, with a desire for power, he had to deny zoning {even though he was a signatory}, like Peter denied Jesus. But I believe he will open up on the zoning issue and choose to stick to his campaign promises to the people if he is allowed to remain in office.
Thirdly, if Jonathan is re-elected, there will be no further depletion of our resources, especially the excess crude account. There is no gainsaying that for months now, the reserve account of this country has plummeted. The country is also being indebted to the tunes of millions of dollars. Let us not forget that President Jonathan shared one billion dollars on the December 31, 2010, weeks after borrowing nine hundred million dollars. I wonder what the money was meant on. Besides, if he remains president, there will be no need to use state resources to finance his campaign again. But I dare ask, has he not been using state apparatuses to run his campaigns? What is the position of our Constitution on this?
You see I understand why his government has underperformed. It may not be unconnected with the distractions he has been getting from those perceived to be a threat to his ambition, especially within the PDP. With all that over, and when he thus remains president, he will be highly concentrated, and therefore, Nigerians will experience what it means to have a government. Let me hasten point out that for the past two weeks or so, governance in Nigeria has been at a standstill. Apparently because Mr President and of course his deputy, are too busy with campaigns. Therefore state and official duties can wait. Who has been in charge of the administration of the country?
When Goodluck Jonathan is re-elected, corruption will be fought to a standstill. Corrupt governors will no longer be protected as they are now. The reason for this may not be unconnected with the president’s desire to capture votes from these states.
When Goodluck Jonathan is re-elected, he will find it necessary to check the excesses of his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan. There is no gainsaying that her conduct as first lady is mind-boggling, and I will not want to dignify them by mentioning them. Maybe someone in his retinue of sycophants should remind him of what he told the entire nation, about the office of the first lady during a previous presidential media chat.
