Dambatta English and Literary Association (DELA) has organized orientation for secondary school students to prepare them ahead of forthcoming Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME) as a measure to help them successfully pass the examination.
Addressing participants, chairman of Dambatta/Makoda Consultative Forum, Alhaji Sani Adamu stated that the training was to get the students acquainted with the rudiments of tackling the examination questions which were mostly IT oriented.
He said the gesture would increase the number of students that would successfully pass the examination.
He further applauded the JAMB officials for their cooperation in ensuring that the training came to reality urging the participating students to put what they learnt into practice.
“Not all students have this opportunity; therefore you have to consider yourself as lucky and privileged. It will be very important if you will put all what you have learned into practice when the time comes because this will give you the opportunity to pass your examination with ease,” he advised.
One of the participants, Umma Umar stated that the training had made her more acquainted with the examination processes and promised to put what she learnt to practice.
