The NDE DG, who was represented by the Kwara State coordinator, Gabriel Adeyemo, said the nation’s economic growth rested on the individual efforts to develop the economic opportunities that are abound in the country.
“This is the reason the NDE is always out to assist the less privileged people especially the women folk so as to provide a leeway for them towards having access to soft loans that can boost their businesses,” he said.
The DG said if the loan was properly channelled to what is meant for instead of social outings, there is propensity for such business to grow and thereby adding values to families and the nation in general.
He enjoined them to shun frivolous things of life but embark on businesses that would help to boost their socio-economic wellbeing.
The interest-free loan was facilitated by the House Committee Chairman on National Planning and Economic Development, Hon. Abdulganiyu Saka Cook Olododo, representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Speaking at the occasion, the federal lawmaker said government was poised to always be in the forefront of adding values to the society without any hindrance through soft loans that could change lives of its citizens for better.
Olododo said “Apart from legislating for the good people of the nation, it is the responsibility of lawmakers to ensure the people of their constituencies live good life.
“This has prompted my desire to facilitate the interest-free loan to my people.”
