20-year-old barber shot dead by cultists

A 20-year-old barber has been killed by suspected cult members in the Okokomaiko area of Ojo in Lagos State.

City & Crime gathered that the victim was chased to his death from a drinking joint by four gunmen around 10pm on Friday.

Lagos State police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this, said investigation by the police revealed that the four gunmen shot the victim severally on the head, stomach and legs.

He said, “On receiving the information, policemen from Okokomaiko Division raced to the scene where they met one Vivian who claimed to be the mother of the deceased.

“The grieving lady identified the corpse as her 20- year-old son who lived with her until the unfortunate incident.

“The corpse was evacuated and deposited at IDH Mortuary, Yaba. Investigation is ongoing and policemen are on the trail of the fleeing gunmen.”
