Twenty students of Trinity University will today receive their certificates as first-class graduates at the maiden convocation ceremony of the institution.
The acting vice chancellor, Prof Clement Kolawole, stated this yesterday during a media briefing to herald the 3-day convocation ceremony, tagged: ‘Convoking a galaxy of trinity stars’ at the institution centre in Yaba, Lagos.
He said the convocation is for both the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions.
“The convocation shall be for the graduating students in the 2021/22 and the 2022/23 academic sessions. We have nine students graduating in the 2021/22 set, with two making First Class, while 64 will be graduating in the 2022/23 academic session with 18 making First Class.

“The two sets of graduates become the first set of the alumni of Trinity University,” he added.
On conferment of honorary doctorate degrees, he revealed that the institution will adorn two awardees; Florence Ajimobi, the wife of the former governor of Oyo State and Dr. John Obaro, the founder, SystemSpecs Limited on Friday.
