20,000 PDP members defect to APC in Niger

This was contained in a statement by the  APC publicity secretary, Jonathan Vatsa, who said that the party was overwhelmed with the crowd that defected from various  PDP wards from the zone.
He said in the statement that the people of the area lamented over years of neglect by the PDP administration adding that “the people said they were tired of 16 years of deceit”.
The publicity secretary described the growing popularity of APC in the state as “broom revolution” claiming that the PDP is now a shell of old itself in the zone.
He said: “While APC has carried its campaigns to the nooks and crannies of the state in view of its popularity, the PDP stopped its campaigns at local government headquarters because the people have discovered their bulk of failed promises over the years.
“When we took stock of the PDP members trooping to join us in each local government that constitute zone A, we realised that we got people from Lapai, Agaie, Katcha and Bida which have been our strong hold.”
