2-year-old, orphan, 2 others abducted in Kaduna community

Confusion has gripped members of Keke ‘A’ community in Kaduna Millennium City following the abduction of a two-year-old child, an orphan and two sisters in the area on Tuesday night.

The incident happened around 9pm when the father, whose wife recently gave birth to twins, who are on admission in hospital, was visiting her.

The victims are aged two, nine, 12 and 15.

Confirming the incident, Yunusa Sarkin Samarin Keke, the father of the victims, said one of the children was an orphan who is under his care.

“I was not at home when the incident occurred. I was visiting my wife who was taking care of our sick newly born twins at the hospital and I left the children at home including the 2-year-old boy with the sisters that night only to return and discover they were missing and I suspect it was kidnappers that took them away,” he said.

He added that the children’s shoes were left scattered outside his gate and that he had not heard from their abductors yet.

The State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansur Hassan, couldn’t be reached on phone and was yet to reply to a text message sent to his phone at the time of filing this report.
