Two persons, Yakubu Muhammad and Rabiu Suleiman, were arrested on Tuesday in Lokoja over alleged vandalism of an Etisalat antenna (mast) at Okumi area in Lokoja, the capital of the state.
The state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) confirmed the incident on Wednesday in Lokoja.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the NSCDC in the state, DSC Abdullahi Aliyu, said the two suspects were arrested after a tip-off at the scene of the incident.
“The suspects, Yakubu Muhammad and Rabiu Suleiman were apprehended in Okumi (up Nataco) Area of Lokoja, following a routine patrol and credible intelligence, by the anti-vandal task force of the NSCDC in the state.

“The suspects were caught red-handed while engaging in the vandalism of an Etisalat antenna (mast) mounted at the site in the area.
“The good people of Kogi State should continue to provide timely and credible information to security agencies to help prevent any potential security breaches,” the statement read.
He said the commandant of NSCDC in the state, Akinlade Esther, has ordered a manhunt for other accomplices on the run, for them to be arrested and face the wrath of the law.
DSC Aliyu added that the suspects would be charged to court on conclusion of investigation into their case.
