The police in Ekiti State have arraigned two persons, Ayodele Kofoworola, 17, and Alaba Aanu, 19, in a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over phone theft.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the suspects on June 1, at in Ado-Ekiti, did conspire to steal an Itel phone valued at N120,000:00k.
The prosecutor noted that the offence was punishable under Section 421, 302(1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Femi Onipede, urged the court to grant bail to his clients.

The Magistrate, Mr. A. O. Owoleso, granted bail of N100,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to August 6, for hearing.
