Two suspected kidnappers were on Friday arrested in Okikili village along the Anyigba-Ankpa road in the Eastern District of Kogi State while trying to collect ransom.
City & Crime gathered that a man from Okikili was abducted on Tuesday by hoodlums who contacted the family to pay a specified amount of money for his freedom.
One Mohammed from the community, said vigilantes were alerted about the incident and that they swung into action, leading to the arrest of the suspects, adding that they had been handed over to government security operatives.
