The Adamawa Police Command, in collaboration with hunters, has arrested two suspected kidnappers who are on the wanted list of the command.
It said the suspects were arrested on March 10 from their hideout.
The suspects were identified as Ahmed Muhammad, 37, a resident of Song Local Government Area, and Muhammed Haruna, 25, a resident of Jambutu, Yola North Local Government Area.
Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, police spokesman in Adamawa, in a statement, said the suspects were allegedly involved in the kidnapping of one Saddam Ahmadu from Belel in Maiha Local Government and Buba Adamu from Shani Local Government Area, Borno State.

Nguroje said the suspects collected a ransom of N4.7 million from the victims’ relatives.
“An AK-47 assault rifle and 25 rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the suspects,” he added.
The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, according to the statement, assured that the suspects would be subjected to a thorough investigation and prosecuted accordingly.
