A family member told Daily Trust that the kidnappers have demanded a sum of N30 million as ransom.

“What is worrisome is that during the last APC primaries, he escaped an attack by some persons who ended up smashing the windscreen of his car,” the family member, who preferred to be anonymous, said.

Confirming the incident, the police spokesman in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said they have got the report.

He added that measures were being taken to rescue the victim.
