He said the children – male and female – died on the spot while their mother sustained injury.

The FRSC commander further said that the incident occurred when a truck and tanker vehicles on speed from the opposite direction brushed themselves in an effort to avert collision, stressing that at the point of swerving, the vehicles hit another car during which process the children who were crossing to school in company of their mother were killed.

Mendie added that the vehicles involved and the driver arrested have been handed over to the police.
