Two men have been arrested by the police in Kebbi State for raping two minors in Danko/Wasagu and Augie LGAs.

One of the suspects, Mr Christopher Pills (30), of Bena town in Danko/Wasagu LGA, was arrested for raping a nine-year-old girl.

The Commissioner of Police (CP) in the state, Ahmed Magaji-Kontagora, said that the father of the girl, Mr Lawrence Johnson, reported that the suspect, Pills, had carnal knowledge of his nine-year-old daughter.

He also said that the police arrested one Anas Dantalli (19) of Nawada Illela Kwaido in Augie LGA for raping a young girl.

He recalled that Mr Rugga Aliyu of Mashekari Illela Kwaido, Augie LGA, reported at the Augie Division that Dantalli pursued his daughters while they were rearing goats and sheep in the bush.

Magaji-Kontagora said the suspect grabbed one of the girls and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her. (NAN)
