Operatives of the Ogun Police Command have arrested two members of a land grabbing gang, Olaolu Fashina and Akinshola Oluwasanmi, for allegedly invading Idiagbon community in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area of the state with weapons.
The suspects were arrested following a distress call received by the police in Onipanu Ota divisional headquarters.
The police were told that the village was under attack by men suspected to be land grabbers, numbering about sixty and armed with weapons.
The police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told newsmen on Tuesday that following the distress call, the DPO of Onipanu division, CSP Bamidele Job, mobilised his men and moved to the scene.
He said two live cartridges and one Bajaj motorcycle with registration number TTD 472 VN were recovered from the suspects.
