Two Kwara State civil servants, Adeyemo Olarewaju and Tajudeen Alao, have been arraigned in an Ilorin area court over allegations of fraud.
The defendants are staff of the Kwara State Printing and Publishing Corporation, publishers of The Herald titles.
The defendants are immediate past chairman and secretary of the corporation’s New Hope Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited.
The court was told that the defendants could not account for the sum of N14,609,100 after their tenure from 2012 to 2022.

The defendants pleaded not guilty and their counsel, Bisi Adedayo, prayed the court to grant them bail.
The prosecutor, Hawawu Nana Abubakar, did not oppose the bail application.
The Judge, Sunday Adeniyi, granted them bail in the sum of N1m and adjourned to October 21.
