2 killed in Bauchi auto accident

Two persons have been confirmed dead, while 11 others injured in a motor accident involving a trailer which caught fire in Azare town, Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

An eyewitness, Adam Sani, told Daily Trust that the accident happened inside the trailer garage along Jama’are road Monday afternoon when the driver of the truck drove into the place for repairs at the workshop of a welder.

“In the process of welding by another welder at the garage who was using gas for his work on a vehicle, the gas cylinder suddenly exploded and spread to where the trailer was parked. It immediately went on fire. The driver of the trailer tried to move it outside the garage, however, he failed due to the intensity of the flame. He died in the process as the fire overpowered him,” he said.
