Two people have been killed in another road accident in Zakaliyo village of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, along the Jos-Bauchi Road.
Fifty-two other people were injured in the accident. Peter Yakubu Yakubu, Public Enlightenment Officer of the FRSC in the state, said the incident occurred at about 5pm along the Jos – Bauchi Road.
City & Crime reported on Monday how 16 people were killed while 83 others sustained injuries in a ghastly accident along Pankshin-Jos road.
The victims were supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who were returning from a campaign flag-off.

Yakub said, “14 vehicles were affected. Two adult females died, while 52 were injured.
“What caused the accident was that the trailer’s brakes failed and the driver lost control and drove into other vehicles.
“The rescue operation was carried out by the FRSC Ambulance and Emergency Response Team stationed along Jos-Bauchi route, and FRSC Jos-By Pass Unit Command.
“The victims of the crash were taken to the Plateau Specialist Hospital and Toro General Hospital for medical attention, while the corpses of the deceased were taken by their families after being confirmed dead at the hospital,” the FRSC official added.
