Two herders were reportedly shot dead while 132 cows were rustled after bandits raided a herders’ settlement at Kasangwai in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.
A community leader from the area, who preferred anonymity for security reasons, confirmed the incident to our reporter through telephone on Monday.
He said the incident happened on Saturday around 10pm.

He said the bandits shot and killed two herders that attempted to resist them from moving the cows away.

The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, was yet to comment on the incident.
