Armed bandits on Sunday night kidnapped two persons and injured two others in an attack on Maitumbi, a suburb of Minna, Niger State capital.
It was gathered that the kidnappers have contacted the victims’ family to demand N5million ransom to free them.

Daily Trust learnt that the residents in Tsaka area of Maitumbi, where the attack occurred, have relocated to a nearby primary school, where they are currently taking refuge.
Residents said the bandits came into the community through the Pyata hills in their numbers but were confronted by vigilantes.
On sighting the vigilantes, the bandits opened fire and shot at them. Two of the vigilantes were injured while two others were taken away.
There was no confirmation from the Police authorities in the state, but the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Alhaji Abubakar Sulaiman Gomma confirmed the incident.
Gomma said the situation has been brought under control even though the people have all relocated from the community for fear of further attack.
This latest incident is coming barely 48 hours after gunmen numbering about 50 on Saturday night invaded Kuchi community in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State and abducted 17 people in a midnight operation.
