Two ex-convicts, 26-year-old Ismail Ayodele and Ugochukwu Stanley, 30, who the police in Lagos said had been terrorizing residents of the Lekki and Ajah areas in the state since they were released from prison, have been re-arrested while hiding in a septic tank to evade arrest.
The police said the suspects were sighted at Osapa London Estate, Lekki, dispossessing a resident of his valuables at gun-point.

The police said one locally made pistol and many rounds of ammunition were recovered from the suspects.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, who confirmed the arrest to our correspondent on Monday on phone, said on July 11, 2020 at about 4pm, the Command received information that some armed robbers had been seen at Osapa London Estate dispossessing a resident of his valuables.
Elkana said operatives from the Ajah police station, with support from detectives from the Command’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), quickly mobilized to the scene upon receipt of the information.
He added that when Ayodele and Stanley sighted the policemen, they ran to the nearest compound and hid themselves in a septic tank.
The police spokesman said, “They were arrested and a locally made pistol with five live cartridges was recovered from them. It was revealed that the suspects were recently released from prison custody for an armed robbery-related case. The suspects will soon be charged to court at the end of investigation.”
