Two drug kingpins, Uwaezuoke Ikenna Christian (43) and Agbo Chidike Prince (42), have been sentenced to life in prison for exporting cocaine across continents following their arrest and prosecution by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after he was
City & Crime learnt that Uwaezuoke was first arrested by NDLEA operatives on March 19, 2022, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja.
Spokesman of the agency, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday in a statement, said that Uwaezuoke was arrested during the inward clearance of an Ethiopian Airlines flight from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, after he was found to have ingested 100 wraps of cocaine weighing 2.243kg.
He said, “He was subsequently arraigned at the Federal High Court, Abuja Division, and was granted bail on certain conditions after he pleaded not guilty. He thereafter absconded, leading the court to revoke his bail and issue an arrest warrant against him.

“Uwaezuoke was again arrested by NDLEA operatives on August 1, 2023, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos, while attempting to export 1.822kg of cocaine to India using a different passport and under a different name, Ilonzeh Kingsley Onyebuchi.”
In the case of Prince, Babafemi said he was arrested at the NAIA, Abuja, during the outward clearance of an Ethiopian Airlines flight to Hong Kong on October 21, 2023, for ingesting 49 wraps of cocaine weighing 998.73g.
Upon his arraignment before Justice Joyce Obehi Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division, the defendant pleaded guilty to a one count charge and was convicted and sentenced to life in prison on April 15, 2024.
