Two persons, Aminu Garuba, 20 and Abdullahi Yusuf, 18, have been arraigned at an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court over stealing an iPhone 7X valued at N170,000.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Bamikole Olasunkanmi, told the court yesterday that the two defendants committed the act on September 2, 2021 in Ado-Ekiti.
He said the offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 517, 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Vol.1 Laws of Ekiti State Nigeria 2012.

Their counsel, Barrister Gbenga Ariyibi, urged the court to grant them bail. He said they will not jump bail.
The magistrate, Mr. Abdulhamid Lawal, therefore, granted them bail of N100,000 with two sureties each and adjourned the matter for mention on September 21, 2021.
