2 docked for allegedly receiving stolen property

The police in Lagos have dragged two men, Sadam Mohammed and Adewale Bamgboye, before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court, over alleged receipt of stolen property.

Mohammed (28) and Bamgboye (39) are standing trial before Magistrate L.K.J Layeni, on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and receiving stolen property.

They both pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, ASP Simon Uche, told the court that the defendants committed the offence sometime in July at the Alaba International Market in Ojo.

The court granted the defendants bail in the sum of N200,000 each, with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until January 8, 2025, for mention. (NAN)
