Two people, Philip Osando (40) and Philip Emmanuel (35) have been reported killed inside a diesel reservoir on Katsina Road by Baban Gwari Roundabout.
Spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, explained that the service received an emergency call at about 2020 hours from one Inspector Abubakar Surajo who reported the incident.
He said, “When our men reached the area at 2027 hours, they found two men, Philip Osando of about 40 years and Philip Emernual of about 35 years old, who were working with Roadside Digital Advertising on Katsina Road.

“The victims were said to have been directed to prepare for receiving diesel, and in that process they entered the diesel reservoir to clear the tank and suffocated inside. When the truck driver arrived he tried to get one of them on the phone but there was no response.
“There and then when checking the area they found them inside the diesel tank. The victims were then rescued unconscious and later confirmed dead.”
Abdullahi added that the corpses were handed over to Inspector Abubakar Surajo of Dala Division while investigation was ongoing to unravel the cause of the incident.
