2 arrested for stealing cables in Kebbi

Three suspects, Abubakar Umar (35), Yahuza Muhammad (25) and Lawal Buda (buyer), have been arrested over stolen cables belonging KAEDCO in the Suru LGA of Kebbi State.

Disclosing the arrest to journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday, the Special Adviser (SA) to the Kebbi State Governor on Power and Political Affairs, Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant, said that the suspects were arrested after vandalising some transformers in Kwandage, Hore, Suru and Tungar Gero communities in Suru LGA.

He said the suspects who were arrested by vigilantes had been handed over to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
