Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested two suspected armed robbers for dispossessing a rice trader, Nonso Nwibo, of N120,000.
The suspects Sadiq Hassan and Kudus Rasak, reportedly attacked the trader at Ipamesan area of Sango-Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who spoke with newsmen in Abeokuta, said the suspects were arrested following a distress call received by the DPO Sango-Ota division, CSP Godwin Idehai, that robbers had invaded the victim’s shop.
The PPRO said Nonso was robbed of N120,000 as well as his Techno handset at gunpoint.
He said “Upon the distress call, the DPO led his men to the scene, but on sighting the policemen, the robbers fled, but they were chased and one of them by name Sadiq Hassan was arrested with a locally made pistol while the other one escaped.
“Following diligent investigation, the second suspect by the name Kudus Rasak was apprehended on the 19th of April 2021, in a hideout at Owode Ijako, and a live cartridge was also recovered from him.”
The PPRO said the suspects would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for discreet investigation.
