Two men, Emmanuel Chukwuebuka, (23) and Bayode Olufemi (28), have been arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti magistrates’ court over alleged theft.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court yesterday that the defendants on November 12, at about 11am in Ado-Ekiti stole cement, a 70Kg of filler sand and a Tiger generator, all worth N720,000, property of one Durojaye Emmanuel.

Counsel to the defendants, Barr Adunni Olanipekun, urged the court to grant her clients bail in the interest of fair hearing.
The Magistrate, Mr Bankole Oluwasanmi, granted bail of N80,000 to the defendants with one surety each and adjourned the case to January 17, 2024.
