The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday inaugurated a high-level legislative screening and appeals committee for the party’s 386 Senate and 1,587 House of representatives aspirants.
Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor, Chief Timipre Sylva, Sen. Ahmad Sani Yerima, Sen. Ken Nnamani, Sharon Ikeazor, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Sen. Olorunnimbe Mamora are among heads of committees.
The committees were divided into six geopolitical zones each for Senate and House of Representatives aspirants.
The 1,973 aspirants are jostling for 109 available Senate tickets and 360 House of Representatives tickets at the coming primaries.
The new APC timetable had shifted Senate Primary Elections hitherto fixed for Thursday, September 27, 2018 to October 2, 2018.
The House of Representatives Primary Elections earlier scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2018, would now hold on October 3, 2018.
