17,000 students enrol in Open University new session

National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has enrolled about 17,000 students across the country for the 2019/20 academic session.

This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abadalla Uba Adamu at a Matriculation Ceremony for students of the NURTW Special Study Center in Abuja. Represented by Professor Ibikunle Tijjani, he said about 17, 000 matriculants enrolled in the university’s 78 study centres for undergraduate programs. 500 students were enrolled at the NURTW Centre, he said.

The VC called on the new students to regulate themselves in their studies and habits as well as “desist from all anomalies like cultism, sexual harassment by lecturers etc that exist in conventional universities.”
