1,699 sacked workers reinstated by Adamawa govt

The 1,699 sacked workers who were disengaged by the past administration have been reinstated.

Director General Media and Communications to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Solomon Kumangar, told newsmen on Monday in Yola.

He explained that 699 from the Batch D secondary and primary teachers who were earlier disengaged had been reinstated.

He added that additional 1,000 health workers were also reinstated because their disengagement could be attributed to the faulty recruitment process by the past administration.

“We conducted a discreet investigation to determine anomalies with a view to right the wrong committed during their recruitment as we don’t witch hunt anybody,” he said.

Kumangar said that the state government had recruited additional 2,000 science teachers for secondary schools and 70 Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIOs) employed.
