Sixteen persons sustained injuries in a multiple accident in Agulu, Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambra State on Monday.
The victims sustained various degrees of injury and were taken to St Joseph hospital before the arrival of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)’s rescue team from Nanka outpost.

According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of FSRC in Anambra State, Florence Edor, an unidentified driver of a Mitsubishi commercial bus with registration number AAH221XA and unidentified driver of Toyota Hilux pick up had a road traffic crash on 11th January, 2021 at about 1233hrs near Golden Tulip hotel, Agulu.
According to FRSC spokesperson, information reaching them indicated that the crash was as a result of speeding leading to loss of control.
However, the state’s Sector Commander, Mr. Andrew Kumapayi, has warned motorist to desist from speeding or driving above stipulated speed limits, especially within built up areas to avoid preventable road mishaps.
