159 family members of deceased SUBEB staff get N364.9m insurance benefits

The Lagos State government has paid the total sum of N364.9million to the first batch of dependants of deceased staff of the State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) and Local Government Service Commission.

Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr Wale Ahmed, who made the presentation of the insurance benefits to 159 family members of the late employees, stated that the payment of benefits was one of the several welfare packages of the state government for its workforce.

Ahmed, who was represented by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs Kikelomo Sanyaolu, said that the state government recognises civil servants as the engine room and drivers of all its policies.
