A 15-year-old housemaid, identified as Bahijja Gombe, has reportedly committed suicide in an apartment where she worked in Kano.
Sources alleged that Bahijja killed herself by hanging, adding that no note was left behind stating the reason she took the fatal decision.

The Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the incident, said Bahijja was found dangling in the apartment.
He said her corpse had been evacuated to a hospital morgue.
Haruna said the command has launched investigation into the matter to unravel circumstances surrounding her death.
“We received the report around 10pm on Saturday that one Bahijja, 15-year old was found hanged inside a house where she was working as the house help,” he said.
